Mark your calendars and prepare for an unforgettable experience in Glasgow.
We’re delighted to welcome you to BEAVRS 2025, set in the ever-vibrant city of Glasgow; a city with a proud history of medical innovation and cultural flair. From the early days of anaesthesia to the pioneering use of ultrasound, Glasgow has long had vision in its veins.
This year’s programme will spotlight key advances and debates in vitreoretinal surgery, with symposia focused on retinal detachment epidemiology, lamellar macular holes, and the evolving role of floaterectomy. A special debate on pre-emptive surgery in severe diabetic retinopathy promises to spark thoughtful discussion and challenge established norms.
We are honoured to welcome Professor Tom Wolfensberger as our distinguished guest speaker.
The meeting will feature a new ‘Poster Session’ and a video competition!
In addition, we’re planning free paper sessions and are currently finalising further symposia topics from several exciting proposals. As always, BEAVRS brings together clinical insight, surgical innovation, and a welcoming community of retinal specialists from across the UK and beyond.
