      Dear Fellow BEAVRS,

We have a sudden vacancy in the VR fellowship post. The job has just been advertised in the BMJ (http://jobs.bmj.com/job/27903/advanced-medical-training-fellowship-amtf-in-ophthalmology/). Closing date for applications is 24 July.

This is a busy clinical post in which we expect trainees who are competent phaco surgeons, but have no previous VR experience, to complete 300 VR procedures over the course of the year. Over the last ten years every one of our fellows has gone on to secure a consultant VR surgeon post. There are also opportunities for research.

If you know of a suitable candidate, please encourage him/her to apply.

      Best wishes

      David Yorston
