John Murdoch has been the college tutor and mentor for many trainees who are now scattered across the country as VR surgeons. He is an enthusiastic teacher who nurtures his fellows. His career started in Dundee university’s medical school, followed by training in the Tenant institute of ophthalmology and Manchester Royal Eye hospital.
He has dedicated a lot of his time to charitable work abroad and has introduced many of his trainees to operating in the developing world.
